Rivers Edge Retreat is a private oasis located on the Withlacoochie river in citrus county florida. Great location to enjoy all the nature coast has to offer. Short distance to Ocala, Inverness, Homosassa Springs, Crystal River, and Dunnellon. Come and experience swimming with the manatees, tubing down the Rainbow River, scalloping in Homosassa and Crystal River, fishing on the withlacoochie and lake rousa biking hiking, kayaking on the rivers, horseback riding, and Golfing. So much to do or just do nothing at all but enjoy and relax. My home offers you the perfect place to enjoy the privacy, sitting on the dock or in the screen room enjoying all of nature. You can bring your own boat and tie up to the dock or enjoy the use of two single kayaks one double kayak paddle boat or canoe available for free. I also provide two adult bikes and two childrens bikes for your enjoyment. At night you can sit around the fire pit and listen to nature sing. Grill your catch of the day on the provided gas grill and eat on the deck under the stars. The backyard is completely fenced and has two beautiful old oaks with huge staghorn ferns offering you plenty of shade. If you want some family fun try your skill at corn hole. There are many bird feeders so you can enjoy watching many varieties of birds as they come and go. If you choose to take day trips we are located close to Orlando with all of it's attractions and Tampa which is home to Bush Gardens. If you love to eat out our area offers some of the finest seafood in Florida. We have numerous festivals throughout the year celebrating our pioneer and Indian history and seafood festivals allowing you to taste all the local foods. I love this area of Florida for it's beauty and laid back lifestyle. So come and enjoy, relax, unwind, in what Florida once looked like.
