Summary: My husband and I traveled with our 2 teenage daughters and we all loved it. At high tide they took off in the kayaks across the little cove and pulled them ashore for food at the restaurant or walked from there to get ice cream. The mud at low tide goes down about 3 inches. My kids are avid sea critter seekers so they brought their rubber boots and had a blast at low tide. The home is beautiful and well appointed. This is not a cabin. It is a well built home. Comfortable beds, double shades in the master to block the light, big closets, 3 full bathrooms with laundry and high quality appliances. Every detail covered. There are no cut corners here like many rentals. Even the mugs are beautiful. The air conditioning on both floors worked perfectly. We saw bald eagles out back twice. Bring lots of mosquito spray for the front yard because it so pretty you'll want to be there too. There were none out back on the deck or dock on the ocean side. Even the outdoor lighting lining the pathways is pretty. There's also an outdoor warm-water shower. The covered entry has plenty of hooks and space to place your sandy shoes. Shut all the lights off at night, sit on the deck and wait for your eyes to adjust to see the milky way. The quiet side of the island is the way to go. Only 25 minutes to all the activities on the busy side. Read the book left by the host- it is full of great recommendations! Thank you Stacy! We'll be back!
