Nestled in picturesque Crane Valley at the base of Green Garden Hill, the hidden gem is set on a 6-acre property enveloped by pristine wilderness, yet only 9 miles from downtown Marquette. The original portion is a charming Montgomery Ward-style farmhouse built in 1930, at the time surrounded by a working farm. This home is both spacious and cozy, and outdoor spaces include a large yard, fire pit, and year-round hot tub.
Guests will enjoy the house’s six comfortable bedrooms, three full bathrooms, two full kitchens, butler’s pantry with coffee nook, three spacious dining areas with seating for a total of 26, and three separate large living room spaces. Unique Birdseye maple flooring, antique furnishings, and modern comforts blend to create a warm (or in summer thanks to the central air conditioning - cool!) and welcoming atmosphere. With 4,000 square feet of living area, the home provides enough space to gather everyone together under one roof. At various times in the property's history, the lodge hall space was used as a church and an antique store - it's now been converted to living space ideal for large groups!
Outdoor amenities include a huge yard which is perfect for lawn games, fire pit with seating for 10, and year-round hot tub.
Visitors are welcome to explore the property’s informal hiking, snowshoeing, and backcountry skiing trails. The property also provides access to Marquette's snowmobile trail network: three miles of highway right-of-way connects trails to our doorstep, making this a haven for winter sports enthusiasts.
